That’s SO Cal: Introduction to Growing our Native Plants

This class will be held outdoors.

Southern California is home to many plants that grow nowhere else on earth and we are so lucky to live here. As the region continues to lose valuable habitat through urbanization, we can help a little by creating safe spaces for wildlife in our own gardens. Join Terry Huang, the Director of Living Collections, Learning & Engagement, for an introduction to our local flora. This class will cover our unique climate, plant communities, and tips on how to select and cultivate native plants. Each attendee will be provided with a complimentary From Lawn to Garden guide from the Theodore Payne Foundation to help get started at home.

Price: $25/person for Members, $30/person for Non-Members
