This ticket permits entry into South Coast Botanic Garden and the SOAR butterfly pavilion. This ticket includes your Garden Admission. You do not need a separate General Admission ticket.

In order for every SOAR attendee to receive the best quality interpretation and education, we have changed the structure of SOAR from last year. Now, the time listed on your ticket is your time to enter the pavilion. You will have 30 minutes inside of the pavilion, and due to the important information received prior to entering, late arrivals may have to be rescheduled to a later time.
You may arrive at the Garden up to 30 minutes before your scheduled ticket time. Please check-in at the SOAR experience approximately 10-15 minutes before your scheduled ticket time. This is to allow you time to enjoy the Emergence Chamber and Host and Nectar Garden prior to entering the pavilion. Please keep your time inside the pavilion to a maximum of 30 minutes.
Infants 1 year old and younger do not need a ticket, however, strollers are not allowed in the pavilion. There will be designated stroller parking outside of the pavilion for your convenience.
Garden Members receive free general admission and a discount on SOAR tickets. Both discounts will be applied after you've selected your tickets and clicked "Add to Cart." Please make sure you are logged in BEFORE adding the tickets to your cart, or the member discount will not apply.
Cancellation Policy:
Tickets may be rescheduled or canceled up to 48 hours before your event time. Cancellation or rescheduling tickets will not be possible after that window of time. Please email guestservices@scbgf.org if you have any questions.
Throughout the season, some areas of the Garden maybe be closed due to construction or private events. Please consult the Garden Closures page for a complete list of closures and dates.
By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge that:
- If you are fully vaccinated, facial coverings are optional. The CDC advises individuals who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing facial coverings
- Professionally trained service dogs are allowed in the Garden and SOAR, though Emotional Support animals are not permitted. Service dogs must be in the control of the owner at all times
- Picnics and outside food and beverage are welcome at the Garden, though set ups must remain casual without furniture or tents or staked umbrellas
- Both Members and Non-Members require advance ticket reservations
