Paint & Sip: Hummingbird Flights

Parent and Me: Butterflies 101

Calling all junior entomologists to discover and learn about the Tropical Butterflies visiting our SOAR Pavilion! Guests will get an up close and personal guided experience, starting at our Emergence Chamber Window, through our Host and Nectar Garden, and finishing up in our Pavilion with hundreds of tropical butterflies.  Kids will  create their own identification guide that you can use at South Coast Botanic Garden and even their own backyard!  Each child will use a magnifying glass, notebook, pencil, and crayons to record their findings. All supplies needed will be provided. This class will take place in rain or shine! Price includes General Garden Admission, admission into SOAR and the class. All class participants (adults and children) require a ticket.

Deluxe Member Event

Come join our Deluxe Member Event, an experience that will connect you to the wonders of our feathery Garden friends.

Please reserve one day and time for your group, which can be up to 7 including yourself (3 adults and 4 children) for either July 8th or July 9th, all compliments of your membership. 

The event will be open from 5 PM to 8 PM. We estimate the presentation and activities to take an hour but you are welcome to enjoy the music, food, and drinks for longer. Dottie’s will be selling food and signature drinks.

Sit & Stay A While: Basic Tips to Socialize Your Pet

Does your pup like to make new friends? Maybe a little too enthusiastically? Or maybe they're more introverted, and couldn't be less interested in greeting anyone, four or two-legged. No matter on what end of the social spectrum your dog falls, this socialization meet-and-greet is perfect for them! Our instructor will lead them through how to say hello on-leash, how to recognize a safe interaction, and give individualized advice to each pet parent on how to best care for their pal!
